Khalil Al-Rahbi

Founder / Chairman

Khalil is the founder and chairperson of several successful companies in Oman. He is a serial entrepreneur with a very strong connection in practically all government ministries and agencies. With a vision to position Oman as an international investment destination, Khalil has engaged his international networks and experts to work with his group of companies to achieve his goals. His expertise ranges from business development, international relations to providing logistical support to global players who wish to establish themselves in Oman or any of the GCC states. Khalil studied Airport Management and is planning to establish Oman’s first Aviation Academy.


 

Munther Al Ghafri

Founding Partner

Munther is the Founding Partner of Sky Seven. He possesses strong knowledge of the aviation industry having worked with Oman Airports for over 7 years. His last post was Airport Duty Manager with managing responsibilities of the Air Side, Terminal Maintenance, and Overseeing the Aerodrome Safety and Standards. Prior to this, he was Airfield Duty Manager and Airfield Operation Officer. Munther is also the Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Seven Skies United that deals mainly in the importation of various raw materials and feedstocks for the steel industries. He holds a Degree in Operations Management and a Master in Air Transport Management from Sultan Qaboos University and University of Coventry UK respectively. He also holds Airport Operations Excellence Diploma from IATA as well as Professional Certificate from CMI. His strong business acumen as well as wide knowledge of the aviation sector have been a significant contributor to Sky Seven’s rapid business growth.

Wayne Gregory

Defence Trainings 

Wayne Gregory specialises in defence training and education worldwide. He is a former Royal Air Force Pilot and a Qualified Helicopter Tactics Instructor. Well-travelled throughout the Middle East and South and West Africa he has conducted high-level training events in 17 countries including the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces. He is a graduate of the RAF College Cranwell and of the UK's Higher Air Warfare Course. He gained an MA in Defence Studies with King's College, London. He attended the German Armed Forces Command & Staff Academy in Hamburg. He was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air, and an MBE in 1995. He is an interpreter in German, speaks some French and Portuguese and is fluent in Arabic.


 

David C.W.A Carruthers

A highly skilled, experienced and successful strategic, transformational and operational leader, manager and professional; who enjoys multiskilling across roles, functions, lines of business and sectors. Has three decades UK and EMEAA experience. Adds significant value through an exceptional depth and breadth of professional knowledge and skills.

Has successfully worked across multidisciplinary sectors including: international government and civil service; military; military and civil aviation; professional services (banking, consulting, finance, legal, ICT); ECPM; education, training and TVET; oil, gas and energy; property; leisure, tourism and hospitality; media and publishing; retail; logistics, supply and telecommunications.

Has significant international strategic and operational, multidisciplinary sector consulting; business coaching; major programme and project management; business development and pathfinding experience; as well as working with international senior leadership teams, stakeholders and clients as a trusted right-hand man and business partner. Has specialist MENA, GCC and Asia experience; as well as working in challenging and hostile environments.

Experienced leading, managing and consulting across a spectrum of international business operations and sizes; from start-ups, SME and family firm operations, to blue chip corporate, multinational, matrix, multi-site operations. Successfully led and managed organisations and teams of 50 – 1,500; and served on SLT responsible for up to 3,000 personnel. Has a particular interest in and passion for working within family firm and SME environments; and start-ups and new ventures / projects.
